Fundamental features of Death Stranding feel like an intentional sacrifice of the game’s integrity to improve its mass appeal. This is unfortunately common in modern AAA gaming these days. But it feels exceptionally out of place in Death Stranding because the game is incredibly far from being a mainstream game.
On the surface, Exoprimal might look like a mindless shooter, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. There’s actually a ton of nuance to its gameplay and a pretty high skill ceiling for each of its 10 exosuits. In fact, I could dedicate a separate guide to each individual exosuit. But you have to walk before you sprint headlong into the jaws of a T-Rex. So let’s get started with some tips and tricks to help your overall gameplay.
I figured out that addressing most of those complaints is as easy as switching one in-game setting. Turn on delete inventory on death, and poof, many of the game’s issues disappear. That’s because 7 Days to Die largely falls apart altogether without it.
Exoprimal is a damn fun game with a pretty unique concept. It borrows a lot of existing ideas but molds them into something that feels really novel. Sadly, people just don’t seem to care.
