The Game Awards by Geoff Keighly have come and gone, and Expedition 33 swept half of them as expected because, after several years, they still haven’t realized that putting Game of the Year nominees in other categories is incredibly stupid. In any case, I wanted to do my own dumb little award show, mainly because the algorithms demand content, and I didn’t have any better ideas!

Arc Raiders isn’t merely an extraction shooter. It’s an extraction shooter that is so perfectly well-made that it offers some of the most emergent gameplay moments and organic storytelling that I’ve ever seen. I’ve always said that the best stories a game can tell are the ones that are organically told through gameplay, and every day that I play Arc Raiders, I have stories to tell.
Nature is an evolution of well, Evolution, the board game. I was pretty fond of Evolution, and Nature doesn’t stray too far from its roots, at least conceptually.
In Nature, you are evolving a handful of species, and it’s the survival of the fittest. Food can be scarce, and you have to evolve your species in a way that allows them to eat when the going gets tough.
