What makes Granblue unique is the fact that while you have a “main” character, you can choose to play as any member of your crew for almost any quest or mission. On the other hand, the mission structure and much of the progression feel very much like a Monster Hunter game. Complete with a central hub, a board of quests to take on, and plenty of weapons to upgrade.
Remnant 2 is often described as Dark Souls with guns, and that’s an accurate surface-level assessment. However, it’s a rather inadequate explanation of what makes Remnant 2 a compelling choice amid the souls-like genre.
The Pale Reach is a small expansion for Dredge that adds a new region to explore. The chillingly cold waters of the Pale Reach. The new region isn’t part of Dredge’s main story and can be tackled at any time, simply by sailing there. It does, however, offer some unique rewards, new fish to catch, dangers to dodge, and puzzles to solve. All while uncovering a side story involving a beast trapped in the ice.
Dredge is a unique cocktail of opposing ideals It blends the peaceful serenity of fishing, with the eldritch horror of a Lovecraftian nightmare. It makes sense, the ocean is already a pretty scary place, even without Cthulhu lurking beneath the surface.
