I’m 31, I’ve been gaming since I was a wee-lad. In that time I’ve witnessed all kinds of debates about gaming as a whole. This is one of the strangest. I never thought I’d need to write an article where I say that Video Games need to be fun. That’s kind of assumed? Cars need to drive, Boats need to float. Entertainment products need to entertain.
First of all, I want to stress the fact that you should never take a score at face value. The context written in a review is really important and any reviewer worth their salt should have outlined reasons why a score was given.
While it is still a great game. Capcom may have alienated its core fans to make mainstream concessions.
The survival Sandbox may not be the trendy genre they once were, but there still exists a fanbase who really enjoy them, myself included. That said, they have traditionally come with a large number of issues. This has made some of them difficult for many players to enjoy.
