When rumors first started floating around that a Marvel X-COM was in the works, I was ecstatic. When it was revealed that Midnight Suns wouldn’t share anything in common with X-COM. I deflated. That bias stuck with me for so long that I even threw a tiny bit of shade at the game in my Phoenix Point review.
Blacken Slash is an abstract minimalist rogue-lite that takes place in a corrupted retro computer system. Some folks may be tempted to dismiss Blacken Slash due to its simplistic visuals. But it has been my experience that very talented solo developers often hide Narnia in the Wardrobe, so to speak. Blacken Slash certainly lends credibility to that theory.
Legends of Kingdom rush is a pretty simple tactical rogue-lite. You piece together a team of heroes and move through randomly generated adventure maps. Events may require some dice rolls, while combat has you directing your party in turn-based combat.
