Nature: Digital Board Game Review

Nature is an evolution of well, Evolution, the board game. I was pretty fond of Evolution, and Nature doesn’t stray too far from its roots, at least conceptually.

In Nature, you are evolving a handful of species, and it’s the survival of the fittest. Food can be scarce, and you have to evolve your species in a way that allows them to eat when the going gets tough.

Mahokenshi puts a neat twist on the deckbuilding genre by applying a game board element to its card play. It’s not just a simple gimmick either. The two are intertwined in every way, and it gives Mahokenshi a unique identity when compared to its brethren.

Back in May 2020. I reviewed a little game called Circadian Dice. At the time, it was a game made by hobbyist game developers, and even then I was impressed enough to score it a 10 out of 10, back when I still gave out numerical scores.

Two years later, Circadian Dice has been further improved and is making the leap that I always hoped it would make. From a hobbyist project to a full-fledged retail Indie game. It only felt appropriate to update my review to match it.
