Override is game about taking mechs that stand taller than a skyscraper and brawling it out in a variety of destructible locales. Did you ever get the toy called Rock em Sock robots as a kid? This title is a culmination of your childhood imagination when you were playing with that toy. It wears its inspirations on its sleeve, but that’s not really a bad thing.
I’ve seen some sentiments expressed by gamers around the web lately that prompted me to write this piece. A lot of gamers simply don’t trust reviewers these days, be they a big publication like IGN, a YouTuber, or a smaller writer like myself. I don’t blame them, there has been shady stuff in the past and money does, in fact, make the world go around.
Warp Glider is an arcade game in its purest form. A simple concept that has a well-executed design which is addictive and fun to play. You control a glide craft and the goal is to collect as much energy as possible while avoiding obstacles such as meteors, black holes and a wide variety of enemy ships known as bandits. The more energy you collect in a single run, the more the game throws at you. If you crash and die, you start over in a true arcade fashion. No coins required though!
